Are you self-employed and

tired of ‘business as usual’?

The world of work is busy, noisy and full of rigid rules and expectations. Where traditional narratives are concerned, the only way to grow is by doing more, and doing it faster. We’re expected to operate at peak productivity every hour of every day, all year round, regardless of how we might feel or what might be going on in our lives or the wider world.

If you’ve found your way here, you’re most likely someone who feels deeply connected to the seasons and cycles of the natural world, but we’re guessing you regularly find yourself wondering why it feels so hard (impossible, even?) to align this perspective with your business.

Perhaps you’re struggling with burnout despite understanding the importance of rest. Maybe you’re finding it hard not to get drawn in by the pushy tactics of online ‘business gurus’, even though you know full well that hustle culture isn’t for you.

You’re not the only one.

And we’re here to show you that there is another way. A wilder way.

If you want to…

Find your own intuitive workflow shaped by natural rhythms

Learn to trust your instincts instead of following the herd

Reignite the spark of your passion and creativity

Feel energised, inspired and purposeful in your work

Make heart-led decisions with courage and confidence

Connect with likeminded, wildhearted business owners just like you

Join us in the Wild Work Collective!

We won’t make big, shiny promises of quick fix solutions, six figure incomes, or overnight success. (And if that’s what you’re looking for, we’re probably not for you!) In fact, we won’t make any promises at all - because real change is personal, and every individual’s path is unique. It’s impossible to guarantee what the journey towards a rewilded version of your business will bring, but what we do know is this: it will be transformative in the best possible way.

Over the past five years, we’ve seen members of The Wild Work Collective cultivate powerful self-awareness, claim their authentic identities, and navigate difficult phases with clarity and compassion. Some have achieved long-held ambitions, others have shed heavy layers of pressure, guilt and obligation that had been weighing them down for years. All of them have grown: freely, expansively, wildly.

More on what to expect

Wheel of the Year Planning Sessions

Wednesday mornings, 9:30-11am (90 minutes)

Shared with members of The Grove

In our planning sessions, Wild Work Collective members come together with members of our larger, life-focused community, The Grove, to root into the energy of the season and consider rhythms and priorities for the 6-8 weeks ahead.

Informed by our Rewilding Wheel framework, we begin with an overview of key nature-focused dates and symbolic associations for the specific seasonal phase, before moving through a guided process of reflection and preparation designed to bring clarity, alignment, and a deep sense of cyclical flow.

Each planning session takes place shortly before each Wheel of the Year festival:

2025

  • 29th October: Samhain - Winter Solstice

  • 17th December: Winter Solstice - Imbolc

2026

  • 28th January: Imbolc - Spring Equinox

  • 18th March: Spring Equinox - Beltane

  • 29th April: Beltane - Summer Solstice

  • 17th June: Summer Solstice - Lammas

  • 29th July: Lammas - Autumn Equinox

  • 16th September: Autumn Equinox - Samhain

Connection Circles

Wednesday mornings, 9:30-11:30am (2 hours)

Exclusive to Wild Work Collective members

In our connection circles, we gather as a closed group (maximum 15 participants) to share thoughts, feelings, struggles and celebrations as we journey through the year. Each member gets a few minutes to speak freely about life and work in whatever way feels needed, and we pause briefly between each share to honour what has been expressed, weaving together any common threads that may be emerging. Very often it becomes clear that, beneath the surface, there is a shared response to the current seasonal phase, and we hold this throughout the session. Many members say they find great comfort and reassurance in hearing the reflections and observations of others, alongside having the opportunity to articulate their own experiences.

The sharing process usually takes up the first half of the session, then for the second half we focus on guided discussion and reflection inspired by a seasonally-relevant theme. These aren’t defined in advance, as we (Maddy & Eleanor) tend to choose them as we progress through the year in response to the questions and challenges that arise in the group.

The connection circles follow a less regular rhythm than the planning sessions, and are spread throughout the year on the following dates:

2025

  • 12th November: Late Autumn / Early Winter

2026

  • 7th January: Midwinter

  • 11th February: Late Winter / Early Spring

  • 15th April: Mid-Spring

  • 13th May: Late Spring / Early Summer

  • 8th July: Midsummer

  • 19th August: Late Summer / Harvest

  • 7th October: Mid-Autumn

FAQ

  • The Wild Work Collective is a community of support for those seeking an alternative pathway for their work. It offers practical tools, resources, and live community sessions to help you apply a nature-centred approach to your work.

  • All live sessions will take place on a Wednesday morning, from 9.30 - 11am for planning sessions, and 9.30 - 11.30am for connection calls (UK time). See the main information above for exact dates.

  • To some extent, yes: you need to be a self-employed business owner, entrepreneur, or freelancer. Other than that, the content can be applied to most industries. If you’re not sure whether the Collective will be the right fit for your work, email contact@thewildacademy.co.uk and we’ll be happy to offer our honest thoughts.

  • The seasonal planning sessions fall at roughly 6-8 week intervals throughout the year, but overall there is no fixed pattern for our meetings as the sharing circles are spaced between the planning sessions in the varying slots we have available in our schedule. We will always meet at least once per month - sometimes twice! The shortest gap between meetings will be 2 weeks, and the longest will be 5. All session dates are listed in the main information above.

  • Yes, we do offer recordings of all sessions - however, these are not intended to replace regular attendance. The Wild Work Collective is a small, close-knit community that thrives on the magic of connection and is intended to offer a space for our members to gather in real time. This is what makes the space special, and to preserve its integrity we request that you only join if you can commit to being present on the live calls more often than not, relying on the replays only in the case of occasional absences.

  • To avoid disruption and maintain the Collective’s focus on community and connection, we only offer memberships for the whole annual cycle, from October 2025 to October 2026. You are able to choose whether to pay for your membership in one annual payment or as monthly instalments, but if you select the monthly option then it is important to note that you are committing to pay all 12 instalments.

  • Opening up the planning sessions to The Grove is something new we are trying for the 2025-26 cycle. Because the focus of seasonal planning is personal to each individual, and often relates to wider life as well as just work, we thought it would be something that would be useful to others beyond the Collective and wanted to offer it as an extra layer of support for seasonal, cyclical living. Unlike the connection circles, the planning sessions are not discussion-based, so nothing is lost from the experience by welcoming more people to attend.

  • Generally, due to the need for live session attendance and a shared perspective on work (which is something that can be perceived very differently across the world), we recommend that membership of The Wild Work Collective is most suitable for those based in the UK. However, if you are able to attend sessions beginning at 9:30am GMT and feel this community would be right for you, please do email contact@thewildacademy.co.uk and we’ll be very happy to discuss your individual situation in more depth.

We hope to see you soon in the Collective!

With love,

Maddy + Eleanor
